Gangs in Mexico often help people illegally cross the border, making them pay tons of money. However, some gangs attack them, rob them, or even kill them before their trip through. Some have even kidnapped them and demanded expensive ransoms from their families, along with the fee they paid to cross the border. Gangsters often seize their victims near train tracks, by rivers, and by bus stations. After more than 11,000 kidnapping occurred within five months in 2010, Border Patrol has taken extra precautions. Unfortunately, it was not enough because two women were killed for not paying their ransoms about two weeks ago. Also, troops from Mexico freed 165 people being held ransom by a gang from Southern Texas on June 4. This took place in Diaz, Ordaz on the Rio Grande, about 80 miles upriver from the Gulf Of Mexico. For weeks the gang held up to 165 people hostage, 20 of them minors, and called their families asking for ransoms. Many of them were paid. The troops of Mexico that defeat this gang are brave and coragous people that are greatly honored.
Japenese Poem
The shogun releases the wild cranes
the beach echos with cackling song
the air beats to the sound of wings
as orange horizon borders the waves
the beach is once again at bliss
Good. But how can "wild cranes" be released? I do like the use of sounds in your poem. Mr. Chester Hallway Life is a hallway, Twisting, Turning. As you walk down the hall you find chipped paint, Old memories with broken glass that fell from a nail on a wall. Many have searched for the door at the end of the hall, They've crawled and scrabbled for the door. They run and leap. But when they finally reach the door, And twist its deceiving handle, A gust of reality hits them. And suddenly Another hallway appears.
Henry Ford was born on July 30th, 1863 and died on April 7th 1947. He was the founder of Ford Motor Company, the name Ford coming from his last name. He did not make the first automobile but he did help distribute and manufacture the first affordable car for citizens to buy. Today Fords tend to be a family priced car and are generally more affordable then say a BMW or Lexus. Henry's father was William Ford and his mother was Mary Litogot Ford. When Henry was young, his mother died, leaving him and his father on the farm. Even though Henry hated farm work, his father expected him to take over the farm. Later in life Henry married Clara Ala Bryant. Together they had one son, Edsel Ford. Henry was very influential to modern day cars because Ford Motor Company is still up and running and is very successful. Fords are a very popular car and without Henry Ford, Fords wouldn't be as magnificent as they are now!
